The information about the death of 23 Ukrainians in Israel is not true. However, Ukraine remains second only to the United States in terms of the number of casualties caused by the fighting in Israel.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk said this on the air of the telethon.
“We have confirmed information about 18 dead, not 23. This information (about the death of 23 Ukrainians – ed.) is not true,” the ambassador said.
According to Mr. Korniychuk, the situation in the Gaza Strip is getting even more complicated. More than 300 people are on the evacuation list, and the death of a Ukrainian woman in Gaza was confirmed overnight.
“I hope that the evacuation will start. The first trucks with humanitarian aid went through Rafah to the Gaza Strip. I hope that the Palestinian side, Hamas, will fulfill their promise and let the foreigners out,” he added.
