8 tanks and infantry fighting vehicles per day: “Magyar’s Birds showed how drones blow up Russian Armed Forces equipment (video)
The operators of the 59th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using kamikaze drones and unmanned bombers, reducing Russia’s combat power.
A company of Magyar Bird attack drones from the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine used drones to destroy 8 Russian tanks and infantry fighting vehicles in a day. Commander Robert Brovdi, with the call sign “Magyar,” reported on the successful work of his unit on Telegram.
On June 13, the daytime crew of the Magyar Birds hit 5 tanks of the Russian Armed Forces with kamikaze drones, in some cases Russian soldiers wearing armor were hit. Before that, the night attacked three more vehicles with unmanned bombers equipped with thermal imagers. The operators did not always manage to damage the target the first time, but they dropped bombs on Russian vehicles again and again until they exploded along with the ammunition.
Robert Brovdi said in the video that the Magyar Birds use several types of attack drones, including Molfars (they make them themselves), TOROs, and Escadrons. The unit keeps some of the types of drones it uses secret.
It is also known that the Magyar Birds launch R-18 bomber drones at night. In March, they showed how they used such octocopters to attack Russian equipment, dropping heavy bombs and multiple rocket launchers on it. The thermal imaging camera allows you to see the enemy even at night.
In May, the Magyars’ Birds used TORO drones to destroy four Russian Murom systems in five days. This equipment helped the Russian Armed Forces to monitor the actions of Ukrainian units from a long distance.
In June, Magyar’s Birds boasted of destroying a Russian armored personnel carrier. The drone threw grenades at the vehicle along with the occupiers, forcing the crew to abandon the vehicle and flee to the forest. One of the shells hit the open hatch and probably caused significant damage.
