Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters destroy Russian “Hyacinth-S” self-propelled artillery system with HIMARS (video)
Soldiers of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) destroyed a Russian self-propelled artillery system 2C5 Hyacinth-S in the Kupyansk sector using HIMARS.
This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As noted, the operators of the 3rd Regiment of the SSO discovered the position of the 2C5 Hyacinth-S self-propelled artillery system in the Kupyansk direction
The Special Forces conducted additional reconnaissance activities and adjusted the HIMARS fire of the Defense Forces unit.
“As a result, the enemy has minus one artillery unit,” the Joint Forces Operation noted.
The 2S5 Hyacinth-S is a Soviet 152-mm self-propelled gun. It is designed to suppress and destroy nuclear weapons, destroy enemy control bodies, rear areas, manpower and military equipment in places of concentration and in strongholds, as well as to destroy fortifications.
