It can hover over the battlefield for 12 hours: Ukraine to receive German LUNA NG unmanned aerial vehicle system
On Friday, December 8, Germany handed over a new military aid package to Ukraine. It includes the LUNA NG unmanned aerial vehicle, the latest development of the Rheinmetall Group.
It is noted that this UAV was presented at the Eurosatory defense exhibition in the summer of 2022 in France.
The LUNA NG drone can hover over the battlefield for 12 hours and has a maximum data transmission range of 300 km using the StaCom system.
The maximum takeoff weight of the drone is 100 kg, the flight speed is 80-150 km/h, and the flight range exceeds 150 km.
In addition, there is a new inflow from Germany:
- 10 Vector UAVs;
- 8 Mercedes-Benz Zetros trucks;
- 6 vehicles for border protection;
- 70 HK GMG/GMW automatic grenade launchers;
- 100,000 first aid kits.
