The premiere of the first car of the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is getting closer. It is expected that the car will be shown within a few weeks. In the meantime, the electric car of the “Chinese” brand periodically gets into the lenses of photo spies.
The day before, local blogger Electric Zhishi Operation Little Sister published several spy shots of Xiaomi’s first car, in which the car seemed a bit like its main competitor, Tesla.
In particular, the similarities between the Chinese electric car and the American Model 3 can be seen in the area of the door handles, as well as in the similar body design.
Xiaomi’s rear underbody features the same integrated injection molding technology used in the production of Tesla Model Y bodies, which improves body strength and vehicle safety.
Otherwise, including the design of the front and stern, the Chinese electric car has unique features, consisting of its own headlights and lights, which have an unusual concave design at the rear, even through the camouflage, which goes well with a small spoiler on the trunk lid.
The car is due to go on sale in 2024 and will be equipped with a single electric motor, which, in combination with a capacious battery, will provide it with a range of about 800 km. Later, the Xiaomi sedan will have a high-performance version with two engines, with a range of up to 700 kilometers.
Prices for the car are rumored to vary between 21-25 thousand dollars.
