On Tuesday, December 19, Blue Origin successfully completed its 24th mission and first in more than 15 months. The launch was carried out after a series of delays, the flight lasted 10 minutes.
The first stage, as planned, landed near the launch pad, and the capsule reached the Karman line, returned to Earth and made a successful parachute landing. The whole process was broadcast live on Blue Origin.
The company’s next step on the way to returning to regular flights is a mission with people, which has not yet been announced.
The reusable New Shepard system – a single-stage launch vehicle and a capsule that can accommodate six people – is designed for both flights with space tourists and payloads.
