“Eternal flight, brothers”: Ukrainian air defense forces destroy three Russian Su-34s at once
Air defense forces in the southern sector downed three Russian Su-34 bombers.
This was announced by Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
“On the night of December 22, 2023, I received a message from the occupiers on a piece of a downed Shahed with a series of “BI” on it: “sDohnyte sYky”. Great idea! Here is our answer!” Oleshchuk wrote.
Today, at noon, in the southern direction, minus three Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers!” he noted.
Su-34 – is a Soviet and Russian multifunctional front-line supersonic fighter-bomber designed to strike enemy targets in operational and tactical depth with the main efforts concentrated at a distance of 150-600 km from the line of combat contact in conditions of strong opposition by air defense and the use of modern electronic warfare, as well as to hit air targets during the day and at night in simple and difficult meteorological conditions.
In terms of its combat capabilities, the Su-34 belongs to the 4++ generation and enables the aircraft to perform basic combat missions without being escorted by cover fighters due to its high combat capabilities, which allow it to conduct independent maneuvering air combat with any current enemy fighters on equal terms.
