The owner of Vkontakte bought the YClients service, which is still used by hundreds of Ukrainian entrepreneurs
Russian holding VK, which owns Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki social networks, has acquired 100% of YClients, a developer of an online recording and business automation platform for the service sector.
This was reported by Business Censor with reference to the Russian media.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. In the future, we plan to integrate YClients services into VK.com platforms.
What is known about YClients
YClients develops cloud-based products for service business automation and has more than 45 thousand customers . The company’s services are mainly used in the beauty, health, and sports segments.
According to NGL.media, about 500 Ukrainian salons, medical and veterinary clinics, and fitness clubs still use the services of the Russian company.
YСlients formally ceased operations in Ukraine in April 2012. At the same time, a similar Ukrainian company Altegio with European roots appeared on the market.
However, the investigation shows that the appearance of Altegio is actually an attempt by Yclients to stay on the Ukrainian market. In fact, it is the same company, according to journalists.
