Ukrainian analog of Lancet UAV is able to fly to Moscow (video)

Ukraine has launched production of an analog of the Lancet UAV. This became known from aviation expert Xavier Titelman. He posted a video of the drone on YouTube.

Not long ago, the expert visited Ukraine, where he visited the center for the development of an advanced UAV. He was told that the new drone could be used to destroy armored vehicles.

The uniqueness of the aircraft lies in the AI system. With its help, he identifies targets. Operators only need to select the desired target on the screen. The drone attacks it even in case of a communication breakdown. This approach ensures 100% success of the attack.

The UAV operates in autonomous mode based on the flight mission set before the launch. The nose of the drone carries a cumulative charge capable of burning through the armor of modern tanks.

Technical characteristics:

  • Weight: 1.5 kg;
  • Flight speed: up to 50 km;
  • Range: up to 50 km;
  • Power unit: electric motor.
  • Attachments: GNSS sensor, daytime camera, night camera, GPS jamming systems.

A special catapult is used to launch the drone. One UAV costs 5-12 thousand dollars. EUR depending on the configuration.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have approved a version with an electric power plant. It is already being mass-produced. The developers are currently designing a long-range version of the UAV with a thermal engine. The new drones will be able to fly to Moscow.
