Russia has said that this year it allegedly plans to start mass production of the Drill cluster bombs.
This is reported by the Russian propaganda agency TASS, referring to the Russian state corporation Rostec.
It is stated that the newest planning bomb “Drill”, which was announced in 2016, has already passed all the tests specified by the Ministry of Defense. It is planned to be mass-produced.
According to the propagandists, the bomb can destroy armored vehicles, ground-based radar stations, control centers of power plants and anti-aircraft missile systems. It is supposedly almost impossible to recognize on radar.
“The Drill is capable of flying to the required distance to the target and opening up over it at the right time. If the element fails to hit a given target, it will self-destruct after a certain time and will not pose a danger to the population after the cessation of hostilities,” the statement said.
