Microsoft releases Copilot Pro: advanced AI features for $20 per month
Microsoft has introduced Copilot Pro, a monthly subscription for advanced users that provides access to the latest version of ChatGPT, as well as Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps and new features.
This was reported by Engadget.
In addition, Copilot apps are now available for iOS and Android. Microsoft also introduced Copilot GPT, a new feature that lets you customize Copilot for specific topics. Copilot Pro users will eventually be able to create their own Copilot GPTs.
With a subscription to Copilot Pro, users get access to the GPT-4 Turbo, and can then switch between different GPT models. Subscriptions also provide better opportunities for creating artificial intelligence images. Copilot Pro costs $20 per month per user.
However, Copilot queries are expensive in terms of both computing power and energy usage, so Microsoft is looking for ways to recoup these costs. They also need to recoup their investment in OpenAI. With this in mind, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella played an important role in reinstating OpenAI co-founder Sam Altman as CEO after a conflict with the company’s board of directors.
In addition, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is now available for small companies with Business Premium and Business Standard subscriptions for $30 per month per person. These changes do not affect the cost for businesses, but now you can purchase from 1 to 299 seats.
