Apple has announced the arrival of its most anticipated feature this year
AI will be the central innovation in iOS 18, and the update itself will be one of the largest in the history of the operating system.
During a conference call with investors, Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that the company will introduce new features based on generative artificial intelligence “later this year.” This was reported by The Independent.
This statement confirms the information about large-scale innovations in iOS 18. Bloomberg claimed that AI would be the central innovation in the upcoming iPhone operating system, and the update itself would be perhaps the largest in Apple’s history.
According to sources, we should expect at least the following smart features from iOS 18 and other Apple OSes:
- Help with composing messages in iMessage.
- Siri has been updated to not only set timers and tell you what the weather is like outside, but also help you with your work.
- New AI features for Apple Music to create “automatically generated playlists”.
- There’s also no doubt that the camera and gallery app will get a lot of features.
It is emphasized that most of the smart features will be used exclusively in the iPhone 16, and previous models will receive only some of the new features.
We have to wait for the official announcements at WWDC 2024, which will give us a real idea of Apple’s plans for artificial intelligence. It usually takes place in early summer.
In the meantime, Apple is preparing for a March presentation, where we will be shown six new devices. Among them is the iPad Pro, which will receive the largest upgrade in the last 5 years, but the price will increase significantly.
