“To prevent overloading of the system and repeated technical failures, the issuance will be carried out primarily to socially vulnerable categories of citizens and after receiving an SMS message about the readiness of passports for issuance.
Persons waiting for the issuance of ready-made documents are asked to follow the rules:
- have an SMS about the readiness of the passport (received after April 25);
- present the applicant’s identity document (including the e-passport in the “Diia” application);
- undergo a verification procedure and check personal data,” the Passport Service Center notes.
It is worth noting that in its response to the request of the Judicial and Legal Newspaper, SE “Document” stated that since the entry into force of the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 443 of April 23, 2024, the issuance of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad by male citizens aged 18 to 60 is carried out only at the territorial unit of the State Migration Service in Ukraine.
At the same time, persons with disabilities included in clause. 2-1 of the Rules for Crossing the State Border, can receive the service if they have a certificate confirming the relevant status, or a pension certificate, or a certificate confirming the appointment of social assistance, which indicates the group and cause of disability, or a certificate for receiving benefits by persons with disabilities who are not entitled to a pension or social assistance, in the form approved by the Ministry of Social Policy.
A citizen of Ukraine will receive a passport for traveling abroad in accordance with the developed and approved mechanism for the implementation of CMU Resolution 443 of April 23, 2024.
The foreign divisions of SE “Document” will operate in the normal mode after the technical processes are adjusted and in accordance with the new legal requirements. Information about the resumption of work will be posted on the website and official pages of SE “Document” in social networks.”
