Construction revolution: the world’s fastest robot builds several houses simultaneously
The fastest masonry robot, Hadrian X, has started building houses in Florida (USA). It is equipped with a 32-meter-long telescopic arm and is capable of building up to 10 houses in one cycle.
The Hadrian X, developed in Australia by FBR (formerly Fastbrick Robotics), was first presented as a prototype in 2015. Back then, the machine could build a house in two days. У 2023 році було презентовано вдосконалену версію робота, здатну укладати до 500 будівельних блоків на годину.

After loading the blocks from the pallets, the robot stacks them using a manipulator. Each block is treated with a special adhesive that replaces traditional mortar, and then placed in place using the gripper at the end of the manipulator. Thanks to its long arm, the robot can build buildings up to three stories high.
One of the robot’s advantages is its tirelessness. The adrian X can operate around the clock without requiring breaks for sleep or rest.
The move of the robot from Australia to Florida was the result of a joint venture between FBR and CRH Ventures Americas, a subsidiary of CRH plc, one of the largest concrete block suppliers in the United States.
The first test of the robot will be test work at a facility in Florida to demonstrate its capabilities. If successful, Hadrian X will build five to ten one-story houses as part of the demonstration program. After that, the companies plan to enter into a long-term agreement under which FBR will become the exclusive provider of construction services using the Hadrian X robot for CRH Ventures in the United States.
The announcement may lead to the phased purchase of 300 Hadrian X units, which will be used to build entire robotic communities.
