Revolutionary Audi A5 with Hybrid Drive and Range Over 100 km

Audi expands the A5 lineup with powerful plug-in hybrid e-hybrid quattro versions that combine a petrol engine with an electric motor. The new model offers an impressive electric range of up to 116 kilometers and is available in Sedan and Avant body styles with two power levels – 300 and 367 horsepower.

Technological Breakthrough in Audi’s Hybrid Lineup

The German automaker introduced new versions of the Audi A5 e-hybrid quattro, which demonstrate an impressive technological breakthrough in the premium hybrid segment. The new model is available in two modifications with 300 and 367 horsepower, combining a 2.0 TFSI petrol engine (252 hp) with an electric motor (142 hp).

At the heart of the innovative system is a new high-voltage battery with a capacity of 25.9 kWh, located in the rear of the vehicle. Audi engineers have significantly improved the battery design – each prismatic cell now stores 46% more energy compared to previous models. The battery consists of six series-connected stacks of 17 cells, each with a capacity of 70 ampere-hours.

Special attention has been paid to charging efficiency: with support for 11 kW AC power, a full charge takes only 2.5 hours. The regenerative braking system can be adjusted through steering wheel paddles, allowing for maximum energy recovery while driving.

The models are equipped with advanced comfort technologies, including 3-zone climate control with an electric compressor and remote control capability through the myAudi app. The more powerful S line version comes standard with sports exterior and tinted glass.

Sales of the new lineup are scheduled to start on March 27, 2025. The base version A5 Sedan e-hybrid quattro will be available from €62,500, while the top-spec A5 Avant S line will start from €72,550. Production of the models is established at the plant in Neckarsulm, Germany, with first deliveries in April 2025.
