American-Russian Conspiracy Against Ukraine
Following negotiations in Saudi Arabia, the US under Trump’s leadership agreed to unprecedented concessions to Russia, effectively protecting its military infrastructure and oil refineries from Ukrainian strikes. At the same time, Ukraine receives no security guarantees against Russian shelling.
The Washington Post reports that the US has received commitments from Russia and Ukraine regarding a ceasefire in the Black Sea. However, the parties’ statements differ significantly: the US agreed to help Russia gain access to global markets for fertilizer exports, while Ukraine was only offered assistance in prisoner exchanges.
The Kremlin insists on lifting sanctions from the Russian agricultural bank and other institutions as a precondition for a partial ceasefire. The White House still avoids directly answering questions about sanctions removal.
It is particularly telling that Russia has already violated the agreements. According to Reuters, immediately after signing the agreement, a large-scale drone attack was carried out on the Ukrainian port of Mykolaiv, and Kryvyi Rih was struck – the largest attack since the war began.
The Guardian characterizes the agreement as a “Russian wishlist wrapped in American ribbon.” The publication emphasizes that the Kremlin is using the White House, which seeks to prove that Trump is the only one who can bring peace, regardless of the price of such “peace” for Ukraine.
Der Spiegel experts note that the implementation of the agreement remains questionable, as it is obvious that the Kremlin is looking for ways to weaken Western sanctions. Bloomberg, citing US intelligence assessments, indicates that Trump’s statements about a quick end to the conflict contradict the real situation.
According to international experts, the new agreement effectively legitimizes Russian aggression and undermines international law, providing Russia with additional resources to continue the war against Ukraine. Meanwhile, the US has already suspended support for Ukraine and is pressuring European partners to take similar actions.
The new agreement between the US and Russia demonstrates a betrayal of American principles of democracy and support for victims of aggression. Instead of protecting Ukraine, which is successfully resisting Russian invasion, Trump chooses to protect the interests of the aggressor, which could have catastrophic consequences for world order and regional security.
