“Bucha bird”. Ukrainians have created a prototype of a new drone: it will cost less than DJI
Ukrainian engineers Stanislav Barantsev and Valentyn Matvienko created a prototype of the new drone.
“There is a prototype that we tested in Bucha before the war, we call it the Bucha bird,” said Stanislav.
The inventor also promised that the Ukrainian drone will work 5 minutes longer than a similar model from DJI-Inspire 2. “DJI – 25-27 minutes, and ours – 30-32 minutes,” – added Barantsev.
Today, the inventors are considering 2 directions for the use of the drone, for which separate configurations will be available: for reconnaissance purposes and with a suspension for grenade launcher VOG-25.
“In our drones we plan to use cameras with medium focal length, with ten times optical zoom. This camera is more suitable for combat missions,” – says the inventor.
Now a working prototype is ready, which, according to Stanislav, will cost less than DJI Inspire 2. The price of the latter together with delivery is about $3,500, says the guy. In addition to 2 engineers, the team was joined by organizer Bohdan Makarchuk and designer Oleksiy Salnikov. The guys want to create 3 military drones for testing.
“We will provide support and service right here in Ukraine. This will include both point modernization and consultation, repair,” the engineer concluded.
