The screen of the LG OLED Flex LX3 TV bends with a button on the remote control
LG has announced its first flexible OLED TV, the Flex LX3, which can be flat or curved up to 900R at will. The 42-inch TV has a height-adjustable stand, monitor-like swivel and tilt functions, and is positioned for gaming.
A special button on the LG OLED Flex LX3 remote control automatically bends and unfolds the screen. In addition to the two preset positions, owners can choose from 20 levels in 5% increments. This favorably distinguishes the LG TV from another similar device, the Corsair Xeneon Flex OLED monitor, whose users can only bend the screen manually.
LG is positioning its 42-inch flexible TV as a gaming display. This is possible thanks to features that gamers will love. The LX3 can support Dolby Vision at 4K 120Hz and has a full-featured HDMI 2.1 input. The TV supports variable refresh rate and automatic low-latency mode, as well as G-Sync from NVIDIA or FreeSync from AMD to synchronize FPS and screen refresh rate. The screen of the LG OLED Flex LX3 TV bends with a button on the remote control
If there is no desire to play on a huge TV, the screen area can be reduced to 32 or 27 inches. You can also use the LG Multi View mode to watch two different video sources at the same time. The device is suitable for gaming sessions at the same time as watching videos, streaming or communicating online.
The release date and price of the LG OLED Flex LX3 are still unknown. The LG Flex series will be unveiled at IFA in Germany in the coming days.
