Germany found a new reason not to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine
The government coalition Germany continues to refuse to send Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
The German authorities came up with another reason why Germany cannot hand over tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to Lars Klingbeil, co-chairman of the Social Democratic Party, the government coalition unanimously agreed not to supply the Leopard 2 because it would take a long time to train Ukrainian tankers.
Klingbal notes that the long time it takes to train soldiers and find ammunition means that the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks will have no effect at this stage of the war. The politician added that during Panzerhaubitze 2000 training, Ukrainian soldiers themselves asked to increase the training period.
