In alarm, NATO raised fighter jets to the sky to intercept four Russian military planes
Russian warplanes continue to stage provocations in the Baltic Sea region. On October 5, NATO intercepted four fighter jets of the Russian army at once.
NATO raised the Eurofighter Typhoon fighters of the Italian Armed Forces into the sky in response to the invasion of military aircraft into the airspace of two European countries. Russian aircraft took off from the air base in Kaliningrad. In flight, they crossed the airspace of Poland and Sweden.

After the Italian Eurofighter Typhoon intervened, the Russian planes returned to Kaliningrad. Matthias Eichenlaub (Matthias Eichenlaub), a representative of the NATO press service, said that NATO fighter jets regularly intercept Russian military aircraft that do not comply with international air safety rules.
