The supplier of ‘smart’ bombs for Bayraktar introduced the Tayfun ballistic missile
The Turkish company Roketsan successfully tested the Tayfun ballistic missile. According to DAHA, it was launched from the Rize-Artwin airport in the direction of the Sinop water area. During the test launches, the ammunition hit the target, which was installed 561 kilometers from the installation. The projectile was in the air for 458 seconds.
Tayfun is positioned by the manufacturer as the first Turkish short-range ballistic missile. It is somewhat similar to the BORA projectile produced by Roketsan. The Tayfun is launched using a wheeled landing gear. Technical characteristics of promising ammunition are not disclosed by the Turkish company.
‘Smart’ bomb MAM-L with laser guidance
Roketsan is a partner of Baykar Tech. It supplies MAM-L ‘smart’ ammunition for the Bayraktar TB2. The Ukrainian army uses them against the invaders. MAM is an aerial bomb with GPS guidance. At the request of the customer, the projectiles can be equipped with a laser guidance system.
