Russia is recruiting former Afghan commandos for the war in Ukraine

Iran helps Russia in recruiting Afghan soldiers.

According to reports, Russia is recruiting members of the elite commando corps of the National Army of Afghanistan for the war against Ukraine.

This was reported by Foreign Policy, citing numerous sources in the Afghan armed forces and security services.

It is reported that Afghan commandos have been fighting side by side with American and other allied special forces against the Taliban for almost 20 years. Russia believes that these commandos will be able to play a decisive role in achieving Russian goals in Ukraine.

The publication says that there are now between 20,000 and 30,000 Afghan volunteer commandos in Afghanistan and neighboring countries. In addition, they add that the Afghan commandos have not yet been evacuated to America and Great Britain, so they can become easy prey for recruiters from Russia.

According to one of the former high-ranking officials of the security service of Afghanistan, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the integration of commandos into the armed forces of Russia could ‘change the rules of the game’ in the war in Ukraine. He also added that recruitment in Afghanistan is probably done by PMC ‘Wagner’.

According to him, it would be better if these commandos were used by the Western allies and they fought on the side of Ukraine. He added that the commandos ‘do not want to fight for the Russians, because the Russians are enemies. But what else to do?’.

It is also reported that Iran is helping Russia. A former commando captain said that those who agree to fight in Russia are transported from Afghanistan to Iran and then to Russia.

We will remind you that Russia invented a new reason for military aggression. In Russia, they believe that ‘hundreds of sects, trained for a specific purpose and flock, operate in Ukraine.’

In addition, a Russian soldier complained that they were being sent into battle with malfunctioning tanks — intercepting the conversation. The Russian occupier spoke about the real situation in the Donetsk direction.
