Ukrainians assembled UAZ ‘Buhanka’ from spare parts from Mitsubishi Pajero Sport
The old UAZ-452D received body panels and interior details from Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. In addition, the Japanese SUV became a donor engine and gearbox.
A very unusual off-road minibus was discovered in Lviv. It combines the features of the ‘Loaf’ UAZ-452D and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. Details of the car were revealed on one of the bulletin boards.
The basis is the old UAZ-452D of 1981, but its front part has been redesigned using parts of the Japanese SUV. Mitsubishi Pajero Sport took the headlights, radiator grill and front doors.
In addition, the Japanese model became a donor of the salon: it borrowed the steering wheel, front panel, instruments, seats of the first row. In addition, UAZ Buhanka is now equipped with air conditioning, steering column adjustment, a driver’s airbag and a sunroof. There is even an audio system with multimedia and a rear view camera.
Tuning UAZ also includes the installation of a 3.0-liter gasoline V6 Mitsubishi with a capacity of 178 hp, supplemented with HBO. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and all-wheel drive. Power steering, ABS and anti-skid system are designed to improve handling.
Currently, the original SUV is for sale. They are asking $23,000 for a car with a mileage of 200,000 km.
