At CES 2023, the world’s first toilet gadget was presented
Withings brought the U-Scan technology washer to CES 2023. It is positioned by the manufacturer as the first ‘toilet’ gadget on the planet. The device is designed for urine analysis.
Outwardly, U-Scan looks like a small smooth washer. The gadget is attached to the rim of the toilet. Urine analysis is carried out using a built-in optical sensor. The cartridge in U-Scan must be changed once every three months.
The results of the urine analysis are displayed to the user in the mobile applet. Withings claims that with the help of U-Scan you can monitor the state of the body (hormonal changes, pH level, water balance, etc.). The set of options available to the user directly depends on the capsule installed inside the gadget.
By the way, U-Scan can distinguish users. Urinalysis results can be transmitted by the device to different family members. Thanks to the self-cleaning function, there is no need to wash the gadget manually.
