TAI unveils ANKA 3 strike jet drone in the style of a B-21 Raider nuclear bomber
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has presented a new drone. The model is called ANKA 3 and is a strike unmanned aerial vehicle.
We first learned about the drone last year when illustrative images were published. Now the company has shown a real photo of the new drone.
ANKA 3 is equipped with a turbofan jet engine. The drone’s technical specifications are kept secret, but it is known that the maximum takeoff weight will be approximately 7000 kg.
Türkiye Yüzyılı'nda milletimize olan sözümüzü tuttuk. MMU ve HÜRJET taksi yaptı, ATAK 2 yakında motor çalıştıracak, ANKA 3 de ilk uçuşunu gerçekleştirecek. The novelty is made according to the “flying wing” scheme. In this regard, it resembles the new generation B-21 Raider nuclear bomber developed by Northrop Grumman. If we are talking about drones, the American company has a Northrop X-47B with a similar design in its product range.
The photo of the ANKA 3 was published by Temel Kotil, CEO of TAI, along with pictures of the fifth-generation fighter, which recently passed another test. The first flight of the drone will take place in 2023.
