Ukrainian Armed Forces to receive missiles with a range of 300 km
The British Defense Ministry has requested information from arms suppliers about long-range missiles. According to the terms of the tender, they must have a range of 100 to 300 km. The missiles will be paid for by the Fund for Ukraine. This fund was established by the United Kingdom together with Norway, Iceland, Lithuania, Denmark and Sweden specifically for the purchase of weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the tender documents, the missiles must have a payload of 20-490 kg, air defense and electronic warfare protection. Experts believe that the request for information on long-range missiles was posted by the UK Ministry of Defense for a reason. The defense ministry wants to encourage other allies of Ukraine to supply the Armed Forces with long-range missile weapons. In particular, the Turkish MBRL missile system manufactured by Roketsan meets the tender conditions. It uses a wide range of missiles to fire, including ballistic KHAN missiles with a range of 300 km. In addition, the American tactical missile ATACMS meets the tender conditions.
In addition to missiles, the UK Ministry of Defense intends to purchase mine trawls and skids for Leopard and T-72 tanks, as well as demining tanks, self-propelled armored bridge pavers, and trawls for transporting heavy armored vehicles.
