How the Ukrainian Bohdana self-propelled artillery system is made (photo)

The telegram channel “Fashik Donetsk” published photos showing the production process of the Ukrainian artillery system “Bogdan”.

This is a new version of the Bohdana self-propelled artillery system, which was described by Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov. Unlike the first samples, the new one is not based on the KrAZ platform, but on a new chassis. However, it is not yet known which one. It is only clear that the vehicle is six-wheeled. The place of production is also classified.

The photo shows a wheeled chassis with an armored cab for the driver and crew, which resembles the Ukrainian armored vehicle VARTA. A fire control system unit has also been installed on the chassis. However, the vehicle still lacks a cannon and other mechanisms that ensure its operation during firing.

“The Bohdana is the first self-propelled howitzer of the so-called “NATO” caliber developed by specialists of the Ukrainian defense industry. The range of a conventional projectile is up to 40 km.

According to the blogger, one of the Bohdana samples was completely disassembled, then taken to the rear and reassembled to begin its large-scale production. According to unofficial reports, in a few months the Bogdana will be deployed along the entire front line to inflict more damage on the Nazis!
