Miniature drones “Black Hornet” will be used in the counteroffensive

The Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to use Black Hornet drones during a counteroffensive operation. This is described in a video published by ZAXID.NET journalists on YouTube.

A batch of the world’s smallest drones was supplied to Ukraine by the governments of the United Kingdom and Norway. With the help of the Black Hornets, the Ukrainian army will be able to conduct combat operations at close range. The drones will allow them to detect enemy positions unnoticed. The Black Hornet is capable of hovering in the air to broadcast camera images.

The Black Hornet drone weighs only 32 grams. It fits easily in the palm of your hand. Visually, the aircraft looks like a child’s toy. Due to the UAV’s miniaturization, it is quite difficult to notice, which plays into the hands of the operator. It is extremely difficult to shoot down a drone with small arms.

Despite its tiny size, the Black Hornet carries two high-quality cameras and a Teledyne FLIR thermal imager. The cost of the Black Hornet unmanned system, which consists of two UAVs, a control panel and a charging station, is 70,000 USD.
