Ukrainian Armed Forces receive Turkish Cobra II armored vehicles (video)
Turkey has not publicly announced its intentions to supply armored vehicles, and Ukraine has not announced any purchases. The vehicle has enhanced protection against mine explosions.
The Ukrainian army is now armed with Cobra II armored vehicles manufactured by Turkey. This was reported in telegram channels.
In the published video, the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are traveling in a convoy on Cobra II armored vehicles with Ukrainian flags. Turkey has not publicly announced its intention to supply armored vehicles to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, nor have Ukrainian officials made any public statements. It was only known about the presence of Turkish Kirri armored vehicles in the Ukrainian army.
The Cobra II armored vehicle is a MRAP vehicle. This means protection against mine explosions and ambushes. The vehicle has a 4×4 wheel configuration. The Cobra II is manufactured by the Turkish company Otokar. Depending on the customer’s requirements, the equipment may vary.
The vehicle can accommodate 9 soldiers plus a driver and a passenger in the front seat. The armored vehicle can be armed with a full-fledged combat module or a turret for machine guns and automatic grenade launchers.
Earlier in Romania, a Cobra II train was spotted on the railroad. At the time, analysts assumed that Ukraine would be the final recipient.
