Fighting in the Belgorod region
The day before, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced an unsuccessful “attempt” by an alleged Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group to cross the river near Novaya Tavolzhanka, Belgorod region.
In turn, fighters of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) recorded a video message about their readiness to hand over two wounded Russian prisoners of war to Gladkov “as a gesture of goodwill on the occasion of the Orthodox holiday of the Trinity.”
At first, Gladkov publicly agreed to the meeting, but later the RDC said he did not show up, so they would be handed over to Ukraine for exchange.
