Xiaomi unveiled a $150 smartphone from the Redmi family
Redmi 12 made its debut on the Thai market. It is available for purchase in three different configurations. The “younger” version has 4/128 GB. The “older” version has a configuration of 8/256 GB. The manufacturer named the cost of only the “medium” version with 8/128 GB. It is equal to 150 USD.
The new device is equipped with a 6.79″ IPS screen with FHD+ resolution, MTK’s Helio G88 processor, 50 megapixel camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged with an 18W charger. The manufacturer built the fingerprint sensor into the side hardware button.
The device comes with MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Despite its cheapness, the Redmi 12 boasts an NFC module. Thus, the “state employee” can be used for contactless payment. In addition, it has a headphone jack and USB-C.
