Air Force: Kyiv air defense shoots down six X-47 Kinzhal and six Kalibr missiles
The air defense system shot down six X-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles and six Kalibr cruise missiles during the June 16 Russian attack. This was reported by the Air Force Command.
The military says that, according to preliminary data, air defense systems shot down six Kinzhal, the same number of Kalibr and two reconnaissance drones.
The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that all targets were destroyed in the capital’s airspace.

As a reminder, the Kinzhal is a Russian aerial ballistic missile that can carry a nuclear charge. The maximum speed of the missile declared by Russia is up to 4080 m/s (14,688 km/h), the flight altitude at the moment of reaching hypersonic speed is 20 km, and the weight of the warhead is 500 kg.
Earlier it was reported that Raytheon Technologies plans to produce five more Patriot batteries for Ukraine by the end of 2024.
