Artificial intelligence banned from Grammy nominations
The American National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences clarified that only people can win Grammys. Thus, the organizers restricted artificial intelligence from participating in the competition.
According to the updated rules, only people can be nominated for Grammys.
“A work that does not contain human authorship has no rights in any category,” the organizers said.
Artists will still be able to use artificial intelligence tools to create music, but the work presented must be “significant and more than insignificant.”
