Ukraine will start producing western-style demining machines
Production of Western-style demining robots will be launched in Ukraine. This was reported by a representative of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Memoranda of Cooperation were signed with HYDREMA (Denmark) and DOK-ING d.o.o. (Croatia). According to preliminary agreements, Ukrainian enterprises will produce components for HYDREMA robotic systems. They will be supplied to the Ukrainian and international markets.
Thanks to the localization of the production of sapper robots, Ukraine will be able to:
- Immediately address issues related to the ongoing maintenance of demining machines.
- Repair them promptly.
- Quickly supply the necessary components.
More than 40% of Ukraine’s territory is mined. Thus, the issue of demining is more than relevant for our country. The Ministry of Economy plans to turn Ukraine into a leading platform for the production and testing of the latest technology.
