Ukrainian Armed Forces methodically mow down Russian army artillery: video selection of Russian weapons disposal
With precision strikes from HIMARS and other artillery systems, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are reducing the number of self-propelled artillery systems, MLRS and other vehicles of the Russian occupation forces.
The press service of the 44th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Hetman Danylo Apostol published a video of accurate strikes on the equipment of the Russian occupation forces. The brigade’s accurate shots destroyed a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, an Msta-S self-propelled artillery system, and a Hyacinth-B cannon.
And in the context of this video, it is important to highlight the following fact: over the past period of time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been conducting counter-battery combat with particularly high efficiency, destroying Russian towed howitzers, self-propelled artillery systems and MLRS.
First of all, it should be noted that HIMARS missile systems with their high-precision GMLRS missiles are actively involved in the counter-battery fight – for example, in early July, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a spectacular video of four missiles fired from the American missile system destroying an entire battery of Russian Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems.
Later, HIMARS also distinguished itself in the disposal of other Russian artillery systems – the “commander’s shotgun”, with the help of aerial reconnaissance men from the 43rd Airborne Brigade, sent Russian BM-21 Grads, as well as Gvozdika and Hyacinth self-propelled artillery systems to hell with accurate shots.
The real “hunt” for Russian Grads was organized by the SSO fighters, who found the positions of three of these MLRS during a raid into the rear of the Rashists, which allowed Ukrainian artillery to turn these vehicles into scrap metal.
The 26th Artillery Brigade also showed footage of the destruction of the Russian Grad: the Russian MLRS was hit by a Polish Krab self-propelled gun, and the enemy vehicle was hit from the first shot.
At the same time, the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade showed a video of the destruction of the Russian Gvozdika self-propelled gun – the vehicle was hit by a piece of ammunition, which caused the turret of the artillery unit to catch fire.
In general, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the enemy’s estimated losses in artillery systems amount to 4,288 units.
In particular, it is noted that over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 36 units of enemy artillery systems.
