The new “mini-Kolchuga” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine can “hunt down” an Il-20 at a distance of 250 km

What is known about the Ingul-7 air defense system

Minister of Defense of Ukraine demonstrates a new electronic warfare station that may later strengthen the Ukrainian Defense Forces

The Ukrainian Defense Forces may receive a new electronic intelligence station from a domestic manufacturer, which is currently being tested, according to the head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, on his social media.

The new electronic warfare station is called RPS-7 Ingul and is designed to detect targets such as radars, air defense systems and enemy aircraft.

As noted, the station is already being tested, in particular, with the help of RPS-7 Ingul, the military could “see” a Russian Il-20 aircraft in the sky over the Azov Sea at a distance of 250 km, as well as an Il-22.

“We see tactical aviation every day, there are a lot of them flying around. We saw the operation of the Thor missile system, the operation of the Zoo radar, and the Osa missile system,” the video says.

No details about the new RER station have been disclosed yet, but Reznikov says it is a compact, lightweight design, “a kind of ‘mini-Kolchuga: “I am convinced that such mobile complexes are necessary for the Defense Forces in principle, and I am delighted and hope that in the near future we will receive an official report from the brigade that will use it.”

In general, little is known about the new RER station, Reznikov calls it a “mini-Kolchuga”

According to Reznikov, the system was handed over to the Ukrainian army for testing free of charge, and is currently awaiting testing, after which it can be put into service and subsequently purchased under a contract for the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Kolchuga-M RTR station

Kolchuga is an automated passive radio reconnaissance station. The Kolchuga-M version of the station has an inland range of 600 km and a 150 km range along the front line. The station can see airborne targets at an altitude of up to 10 km at a distance of up to 800 km, with a maximum number of targets tracked simultaneously of 200.
