The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a launcher and radar from the Russian S-400 air defense missile system worth $2.5 billion
The Russian S-400 Triumph air defense missile system (SA-21 Growler in NATO classification) has once again become a new target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. They probably managed to destroy two components of the Russian air defense system with the help of HIMARS.
In early 2023, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed the first 5P85SM2-01 launcher with 5V55R missiles of the S-400 air defense missile system. Almost half a year later, they were able to eliminate the 55K6E combat control center for the first time.
#Ukraine: A Russian S-400 system was recently targeted by the Ukrainian army, allegedly using GMLRS – as a result, a 5P85SM2-01 TEL and a 92N6A multifunctional radar were destroyed.

This time, there was information about the destruction of another 5P85SM2-01 launcher. Along with it, the Russian army lost the 92N6A multifunctional radar station, which is part of the anti-aircraft missile system. This is the first confirmed case of radar destruction.
The cost of the S-400 is approximately $2.5 billion. The Ukrainian army could also receive such an anti-aircraft missile system, but Turkey refused to transfer it, despite pressure from the United States. By the way, Turkey itself was left without fifth-generation F-35 fighters due to the purchase of the C-400.
