“Brazier” did not save: Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the crew of a tank of the Guards Division of the Russian Armed Forces (photo)

The commander of the vehicle miraculously survived, but the gunner and mechanic were killed. The Russians have installed protection against Javelin missiles on the tank, but it is almost impossible to get out of the tank in case of a hit.

The Ukrainian military destroyed a Russian tank from the 291st Regiment of the 42nd Guards Motorized Rifle Division with a precise hit. A photo of the arrival of the combat vehicle was shown by Russian military officials.

“I was working, leaving, and it came. The gunner and the mechanic of the 200th [were killed]. The commander miraculously survived,” the propagandists said.

Judging by the image, two Russian tankers were burned alive after the explosion. The tank continued to drive until it hit a ditch, and there was a risk of detonation of the ammunition, the military officials said.

The occupiers’ motorized rifle division is now fighting in the Zaporizhzhia sector.

Ukrainian military journalist Yuriy Butusov noted that the tank was equipped with a “grill” to protect it from Javelin missiles.

The “grill” makes it difficult to get out of the tank in case of a hit. The tank commander managed to jump out, but the gunner, who was sitting in the turret next to him, as well as the driver, could not get out,” Butusov said.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already using Stridsvagn 122 battle tanks made in Sweden during the counteroffensive. It is an analog of the German Leopard 2A5 tank.

According to media reports, the Ukrainian military may receive American Abrams M1A1 tanks ahead of schedule. The crews are currently undergoing training at Grafenwoehr Air Force Base in Germany.
