Could have attacked the Crimean Bridge: a fallen drone was found in the port of Kavkaz (photo)
A mysterious UAV crashed into the sand on the Russian Chushka Spit in Krasnodar Krai, which overlooks the Kerch Strait.
Near the port of Kavkaz on the Chushka Spit (Krasnodar Territory, Russia), a man discovered the remains of an attack drone that could have attacked the Crimean bridge. Russian propagandist Alexander Kots wrote about this in his Telegram channel on Monday, July 17.
According to the Russian journalist, a photo from the scene was sent to him by a subscriber who discovered the details of the crashed drone. The images show security forces already working near the drone, inspecting the area around it.
The drone itself is lying near the water’s edge, and the surf has even managed to throw seaweed at it. The drone was severely damaged after the crash, so it is difficult to visually identify its model. The images show only that there is probably a combat unit or a gray-colored munition under the drone itself. The drone’s tail is also painted in a light blue hue and bordered by a thin gold stripe.
Propagandist Kotz believes that it could be a Ukrainian drone that was either trying to attack the Crimean bridge or was heading for another target – the ferry crossing, which is used to bring trucks to the Crimean peninsula.
On July 17, Russian media reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to destroy two parts of the Crimean bridge with drones. According to media reports, one of them failed to do the job because its power was not enough to destroy the spans that run along the road for cars. The second kamikaze drone, which was heading for the railroad tracks, exploded in midair and did not cause any damage to the Kerch Bridge.
For his part, UDA spokesman Serhiy Bratchuk said that the Crimean bridge could have been blown up by a drone from Russia. The UDA spokesperson pointed out that the bridge supports fell from the Kuban side. This geolocation is the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Krasnodar Territory, Russia), from where the Russian military is attacking Ukraine with Iranian Shahed drones.
