Battle near Kreminna: Ukrainian Armed Forces drones “hunted down” infantry fighting vehicles and tanks of the Russian army (video)
A video posted by Commander Syrsky shows a master class in the joint operation of strike and reconnaissance drones, which resulted in the loss of three valuable armored vehicles by the Russian Armed Forces.
The Commander of the Ground Forces, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, demonstrated the effective use of Ukrainian drones against Russian armored vehicles in the eastern direction. Thanks to the coordinated work of several units, two tanks and one armored vehicle were neutralized. The general outlined the details of the special operation in a short video on his Telegram channel.
The video shows that different types of drones took part in the special operation: some drones carried explosives and crashed into Russian equipment, while others conducted surveillance and recorded the results of the strikes.
The armored vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces attacked at two points:
- On July 20, a Russian infantry fighting vehicle was destroyed near Odradivka;
- On July 23, two pieces of enemy equipment – two tanks – were destroyed near Pishchanka. Moreover, in one case, a reconnaissance drone recorded a Russian armored vehicle trying to escape while its tracks were on fire.
The post states that the following units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out the special operations:
- The “Asgard” group of the “Ochi” unit of the 120th separate reconnaissance battalion are the main attackers;
- with the support of an unmanned aerial vehicle of the 140th separate reconnaissance battalion;
- with the participation of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
It is stated that the strikes on Russian equipment were carried out in the Kreminna direction.
It should be noted that Ploshchanka village is located 2 km from the front line in Luhansk region. Kreminna is about 18 km to the southeast.
Odradivka is a village southeast of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast. Not far away is Andriivka, where OSINT investigators assume the occupiers managed to drive out the troops. It is unclear which settlement is being referred to, as the post mentions an area near Kreminna.
