WhatsApp borrows another popular feature from Telegram
The WhatsApp team continues to work on expanding the functionality of the messenger. According to the established tradition, Meta Platforms developers borrow new features from competitors.
This time, video messages were added to Whats App. The developers explained the need to launch Instant Video Messages as a way to supplement voice messages with instant video messages for the convenience of users. From now on, they will be able to record 60-second videos right in chats. To do this, simply switch to video mode by pressing the button and then hold it down to record a short video.
To protect the “circles” borrowed from Telegram, end-to-end encryption will be used. The rollout of the new feature has already begun. It will be available to users around the world in the coming weeks.
