After rebranding Twitter and renaming the social network X, Elon Musk aimed to install a bright X logo on the headquarters building, but the city and residents oppose this. First, the police prevented Elon Musk from removing the Twitter sign at the entrance to his San Francisco office, and now the authorities have forced him to remove the 𝕏 sign that had already been installed.
The reason for this was complaints from neighbors who did not like the large flashing logo in the center of San Francisco, reports The Verge. The building managers repeatedly denied the inspectors access, explaining that the logo was “temporary.” It was indeed secured with sandbags.
In total, the Department of Construction Inspection and Urban Development received 24 complaints, including those related to structural safety and lighting. The department will fine the building owner for “not having permits for construction, installation and dismantling of the structure” and to cover the costs of the inspection and investigation.

Some of Musk’s seemingly unrealizable ideas are being implemented. He managed to negotiate with Apple to rename the app to X in the App Store. Apple usually doesn’t allow developers to name their apps with a single character.
