TORO drone hits Russian infantry fighting vehicle at location where Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed T-80 tank earlier (video)

For the attack, the Ukrainian military used a TORO kamikaze drone with a precision camera that destroys enemy equipment and manpower with explosives.

The Ukrainian military launched a TORO kamikaze drone that destroyed a Russian infantry fighting vehicle. The video of the FPV drone’s battle with a tank was posted by Colonel Anatoliy (“Stirlitz”) Stefan of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on his Telegram channel on Tuesday, August 8.

“The 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade destroys a Russian infantry fighting vehicle at the same place where a T-80 was burned a week ago,” he captioned the video.

The footage shows that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers tracked down the Russian occupiers’ infantry fighting vehicles using a reconnaissance drone. The combat vehicle was traveling along a dirt road, pressing to the right to a landing. The terrain on which the vehicles were moving was dug up in some places. The Russians also encountered a burnt-out tank without a turret on the road.

At the same time, the operators immediately launched a TORO kamikaze drone to destroy the target. The drone set a course for the BPM, quickly flew up to the military equipment and rammed it. According to a bird’s-eye view of the UAV, the attack was successful: the combat vehicle with the occupants caught fire and began to smoke.

What is known about TORO drones

This is a Ukrainian kamikaze drone with a precision camera that destroys enemy equipment and manpower with explosives. According to the manufacturers, each device has at least three assembly options with different components.

Technical characteristics of the TORO drone

  • payload – 1.1 kg and 1.6 kg with a warhead;
  • flight range – 15 km and 10 km;
  • target detection radius – 200 meters;
  • deployment speed – up to 5 minutes.

In late July, a Ukrainian Armed Forces kamikaze drone tore off the tower of a Russian tank, causing the armored vehicle to burn along with its crew. The strike drone almost lost contact, but managed to hit the tank’s stern and detonate the ammunition.
