The new US aid package contains a very important thing for the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

This point relates to the nomenclature of ammunition and the ability to destroy the occupiers

Yesterday, August 14, 2023, the Pentagon announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $200 million directly from the US Army’s stockpile. Let’s highlight the most important points in it.

First of all, the position with the transfer of 105-mm and 155-mm artillery shells. At first glance, there is nothing unusual about this, because shots at artillery systems of NATO caliber need to be fired constantly and as many times as possible. However, it is worth remembering that the transfer of American DPICM cluster munitions to the Ukrainian Armed Forces was motivated, in part, by the fact that it would take some time to “spin up” the flywheel to increase production of “conventional” ammunition for the Ukrainian artillery. Against this backdrop, the delivery of a new batch of 155-mm shells from the US Army to the Ukrainian Defense Forces is actually a very important thing.

Other important points of this assistance package can be found here.

Equally important for our artillery in this regard are additional GMLRS guided missiles to the M142 HIMARS systems. Because nowadays such systems are widely used as a tool for counter-battery warfare, in particular, for the high-precision destruction of Russian occupiers’ artillery.

Equally important in this military aid package are the items of “mine clearing equipment and systems” and “demolitions munitions for obstacle clearing,” i.e., explosive engineering munitions and demining systems such as M58 MICLIC. Now it is unnecessary to say how important this equipment is for our soldiers in the South, who are constantly facing an unprecedented level of mine threat from the racists.

Of course, it is also worth paying attention to the rather wide list of anti-tank systems announced for transfer to the Armed Forces. Our defenders need this weapon now both to use it for its intended purpose – that is, to destroy racist armored vehicles – and to defeat other targets of the occupiers on the battlefield.

Patriot anti-aircraft missiles are important, among other things, against the backdrop of the threat of repeated Russian strikes on our energy system. And field equipment and repair vehicles are necessary for the stable maintenance of the Bradley and Stryker APCS already in the possession of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
