Ukrainian and Czech companies join forces to create a compact turbojet engine for missiles and drones
The new AI-PBS-350 engine, being developed by the Czech aerospace company PBS in cooperation with a Ukrainian company, is a significant step in the development of unmanned systems. This engine is designed for use in various types of unmanned systems, including cruise missiles and anti-ship missiles.
One of the key characteristics of the AI-PBS-350 engine is its high thrust of 3.4 kN, while the engine itself has an incredibly low weight of only 51 kg. This ensures optimal conditions for installing the motor in unmanned systems where both efficiency and compactness are important.
PBS representatives say that the AI-PBS-350 engine is designed specifically for single-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle systems. It combines advanced technology and engineering excellence, making it the most advanced engine of its kind.
PBS Director Milan Macholan emphasizes that the cooperation between PBS and the Ukrainian company is aimed at creating the basis for the commercial development and production of the new AI-PBS-350 turbojet engine. It is planned that this engine will be a joint product of the two companies and will be available to customers in 2023.
The development and production of the innovative AI-PBS-350 engine makes a significant contribution to the field of unmanned systems. It will ensure increased efficiency and reliability of such systems, as well as contribute to the development of technologies in the aviation and aerospace industries.
