Ukrzaliznytsia cancels trains to Przemysl and assigns trains to Chełm
On September 8, the Polish Railways will start the planned infrastructure repairs in Przemyśl. In this regard, Ukrzaliznytsia is making changes to its train service, temporarily canceling trains to Przemysl and appointing a new train “Kyiv-Chelm”.
This is stated in the message of Ukrzaliznytsia.
“Trains #89/90 Kyiv – Przemyśl and #73/74 Kharkiv – Przemyśl will be canceled from September 7 to October 6 (departing from Kyiv and Kharkiv),” the statement said.
Instead, starting on September 3, Ukrzaliznytsia will launch a new train No. 119/120 Kyiv – Chełm. It will be the third daily train to this Polish city.
The train will depart from Kyiv at 06:28, arriving in Chełm at 17:27 (convenient connection with the Polish train IC 21100 Chełm 18:12 – Warsaw Wszczodnia 21:02). Return departure from Chełm is at 10:23 (transfer from the train IC12100 Warsaw Wszczodnia 06:05 – Chełm 08:42), arrival in Kyiv is at 22:45.
“This flight is convenient for those who have flights from Warsaw Chopin Airport after 23:00 or early in the morning (Cairo, Ostrava, Munich, Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna),” Ukrzaliznytsia said.
Only two Intercity+ trains will continue to run every Friday and Saturday during the “month of repairs” in Poland (departures from Kyiv on September 7-8, 14-15, 21-22):
- valid for the train number 705/706 Kyiv – Przemyśl;
- new bus No. 707/708 Kyiv – Przemyśl (departure from Kyiv at 22:17, Przemyśl at 06:23, return from Przemyśl at 11:15, arrival in Kyiv at 20:41).
At the same time, trains #53/54 Kyiv – Przemyśl, #89/90 Kyiv – Przemyśl, #31/32 Zaporizhzhia – Przemyśl, #35/36 Odesa – Przemyśl, #73/74 Kharkiv – Przemyśl, #715/716 Kyiv – Przemyśl will be canceled on these dates.
In addition, the repair schedule at the Polish railroad will change the schedules of trains No. 54 and No. 36.
- No. 54 Przemyśl – Kyiv will depart from Przemyśl at 13:45 (instead of 20:28) and arrive in Kyiv at 05:34 (instead of 09:00).
- No. 36 Przemyśl – Odesa will depart at 13:45 (instead of 20:28) and arrive in Odesa at 08:10 am.
