Apple will launch five new iPhone models in 2023
The iPhone 15 lineup will include five smartphone models, not four as previously expected. The fifth model will be a device with the Ultra label. This became known from correspondent Andrew O’Hara, who works for the online publication Apple Insider. According to him, he received information about the release of the iPhone 15 Ultra from reliable sources.
With the Ultra label, the North American corporation wants to emphasize the “premium” nature of its most expensive mobile device, following the example of its competitors. In addition to the features of the Pro models, the device will receive x10 zoom, which will allow it to compete with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The journalist’s sources did not say how the 10-fold increase would be achieved. The smartphone can get a special lens. As an alternative, Apple engineers can resort to framing the sensor. There is speculation that the iPhone 15 Ultra will be equipped with a lens that has two variable zoom modes.
