Following the successful landing of the Chandrayaan-3 mission on the Moon, the Indian Space Research and Development Organization (ISRO) has released the first photo of the Earth’s satellite. ISRO announced this on the social network X.
The image shows part of the Chandrayaan-3 landing site, as well as the leg and shadow of the lander.
Later, ISRO announced that the lunar rover had already left the lander and reached the lunar surface.
“Chandrayaan-3 descended from the lander and walked on the moon,” the organization wrote.

The lunar rover landed near the south pole of the Moon to explore its surface for one lunar day, which corresponds to about 14 Earth days.
As a reminder, the Russian automatic interplanetary station Luna-25 crashed into the surface of the Moon during its transition to pre-landing orbit.
