There will be changes in the national selection
Ukraine has confirmed its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 to be held in Malmö, Sweden, after Loreen won. The representative from Ukraine will be selected at the National Selection: applications will be accepted soon.
This was reported by Public Broadcasting.
It is noted that musician and composer Dmytro Shurov (Pianoboy) will be the music producer of the National Selection for Eurovision 2024 for the second time. This time, the National Selection will have an innovation.
“The applications for participation in the National Selection and the new season of Eurovision in Ukraine will start soon. I’m appealing to everyone now: tune in, we have to create and choose the next song that the country will be proud of, a song that will win the hearts of the whole of Europe and light up a new star from Ukraine. This year, there is a surprise for you – you will be able to choose one of the finalists yourself. There are many interesting things ahead,” said Shurov.
In particular, it is reported that the head of Ukraine’s delegation to Eurovision, Oksana Skybinska, also emphasized that this year’s National Selection will feature innovations that will allow Ukrainians to “get even more involved in making key decisions.”
“More information about the terms and novelties of the National Selection will be available this week, when the application process starts,” she said.
