The day before, The War Zone published satellite photos taken by PLANET LABS INC, which show a Russian airport in the Pskov region with Il-76 aircraft. It was recently attacked by Ukrainian drones, and now a unique video of the attack has emerged.
The video was posted by Ukrainian volunteer Serhiy Sternenko. As it turned out, the operation of the General Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine used drones, which Ukrainians raised money for. Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities stated that the UAVs were launched from the territory of Russia.
Sternenko’s statement said that two Il-76 military transport aircraft were destroyed and two more damaged. Several other aircraft were also hit, but details are not specified. Earlier, the Russians wrote about the damage to the Tu-22M3 bomber, but this information has not been confirmed.
